Santa and his elves face a fierce blizzard that strands them at the North Pole on Christmas Eve. Just when it seems that there is no hope left, a Messenger is sent to show what can be achieved if we all believe in miracles.

I was pleasantly surprised by this story. The religious message of Christmas is so gently written about. I try to be sensitive to the religious aspects of any literature or activity that I use in the classroom. While this story makes it clear that “the message of Christmas is about something even greater than Santa Claus”, no one could be offended by its subtlety.
